"We would highly recommend Paul Huettl. He showed our AQHA, ARHA stallion Ramkam Docs Bingo in ARHA Open Conformation classes very successfully. He has a great deal of expertise in showing halter horses, showmanship, horsemanship, equitation ,western pleasure, and hunt seat. Mr. Huettl was a clinician at our boarding facility and was well received by all the participants in the clinic. He made it fun and informative and everyone had a great time. We have also shown under him as a judge, and feel that he judges fairly all competitors without exception.

"In June of 2011 I purchased a great 4 year old Paint mare. I knew she had pleasure horse potential, but I was not physically able to get her broke myself. This was the first ever horse that I sent out for training. I was extremely happy with the results of just one month. Paul's patience and expertise was critical in getting the most out of this mare. He has methods for training that WORK! His methods are smooth and quiet. His soft hands developed a sensitive and responsive mouth on your horse. His common sense approach makes for a connection with the horse. Paul is a professional. I'm sending my mare back again in June for another phase of training!"

"My sister and I first met Paul through a charity auction for a mutual friend. Paul had donated some lessons to help raise money for our friend going through cancer. I thought that I would be done after the lessons that I won at the auction, but I am still riding with Paul today, and I brought my sister with me! Paul's extensive knowledge of horse training contributes a unique perspective to his lessons. That is why I continue to look forward to my lessons and riding every week, long after the lessons Paul donated are over! "

"We find Paul Huettl one of the better judges as he is fair and can judge the different breeds accordingly. He is one of our go to guys. If we have questions that need to be answered he is always there for the right answer. He is also very good with the youth. He can always find the time to help them and give them good instruction on showmanship and riding. We are very proud to have Paul judge one of our shows as he is a big help in our smaller shows to help the new people showing. All in all Paul is very fair in his judging and also always eager to help."

"I feel very fortunate to have met Paul and am proud to call him my friend. I was very much the novice when a trainer convinced me to purchase a horse that was well beyond my skill level. Unfortunately, I took one look at that beautiful horse and had stars in my eyes. It took less than a week for me to realize the horse’s power and how little I really knew. Following an injury, I was introduced to Paul. With his patience and sense of humor, I was able to get back on my horse. And, believe me, he needed patience when dealing with my fear. Paul has many wonderful attributes besides patience and a sense of humor. He enjoys people, takes the time they need, is extremely honest and is a born teacher. He not only gives riding lessons, but life lessons -- I always kidded him about his natural wisdom. He instructs his students in every aspect of horse care and behavior. Paul helped me through it all -- the good, the bad and the ugly. I finally sold that horse, something Paul recommended from the beginning, and have gone on to others that better suited my abilities. I only wish I lived close enough to continue boarding and training with Paul."

"It all started when I was seven, and I would drive my Mom up the wall asking for lessons. We heard about Paul from good family friends and decided to take a lesson from him. It was a foggy day when we went to go meet him, and what happened that day was completely different from what I thought would play out. I thought I was going to get there and find a nice little horse, all tacked up and ready to go. Then, I would get on the horse and ride off. But, that is not was occurred. When we arrived I shied into the barn to find Paul and a white, dirty horse named Lelu. She was not tacked up, and like I said she was dirty. He grabbed a brush, led me over to her, showed me how to use a brush, then handed me the brush and said, “get to work.” Not at all what I was expecting, but it was all I would need to get where I am today. You see, Paul shows you all the basics, I mean all of them. How to put on a halter, how to put on leg wraps, how to clean a horse, etc. Knowing how to do all these little things, and eventually big ones too, gets you where you need to be, and it shows you that riding is just one part of ‘horseback riding.’ And when it comes to ridding, he knows what he is doing. He knows how to explain it so you get it. He knows how to make it an enjoyable, exciting ride. Even if something seems like it’s pointless, it pays off in the end. And in the end, if you really put effort in, you can be like me. Starting off at seven, not even knowing how to hold the rains, to being thirteen and owning your own horse that you have trained and can ride everyday without any help except from your knowledge that Paul has given you. Paul is an fantastic person, teacher, and friend."
